Dr. Lu earned her biomedical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin, followed by a Doctorate of Medicine from New York Medical College. After completing her residency at the University of Virginia, she pursued an interventional pain fellowship at the University of Vermont. Dr. Lu is experienced in pain management and anesthesiology, thriving in the academic setting and taking on challenging cases. Now practicing at Carilion, she is dedicated to patient-centered pain treatment, particularly amid the opioid epidemic in southwest Virginia. Dr. Lu prioritizes compassionate listening and customized plans to help patients achieve functional and quality of life improvements.
