Dr. Elizabeth Russo-Stringer, a pain physician, recently joined Carilion Clinic Pain Department in Roanoke, Virginia. With a background in Microbiology and Zoology from Louisiana State University, she completed her medical doctorate and anesthesia residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the University of Alabama, Birmingham, respectively. After a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management, she practiced in Baton Rouge for 9.5 years. Dr. Russo-Stringer is impressed by Carilion Clinic's innovative pain department, which focuses on minimally invasive treatments, nutrition, counseling, and complementary medicine like acupuncture. She and her family look forward to becoming part of the Roanoke community.
