Dr. Houskamp is a graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School and Calvin College. After graduating from the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University, he proceeded to complete his residency at the Blodgett and St. Marys hospitals in Grand Rapids, MI. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He joined LSA in 2000 and has since been practicing the full spectrum of general surgery with special interests in advanced laparoscopic surgery and endocrine surgery. Dr. Houskamp and his wife, Amy, have two children. He plays golf and tennis, and he also enjoys reading. His family is active in their local church and he values spending time with his family.
