Brief Intro

Dr. Weiner graduated from The University of California Los Angeles in 1970 with a degree in Microbiology and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1975. Following an internship at the University of Southern California Medical Center, Dr. Weiner completed his neurosurgical residency at New York University Medical Center in 1981 and joined the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston as a full-time neurosurgical faculty member the same year.Dr. Weiner joined Dallas Neurosurgical & Spine in 1987. He continues an academic affiliation with UT Southwestern as clinical associate professor of neurosurgery and has authored numerous articles and papers in peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks on a variety of clinical issues. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons.Dr. Weiner practices at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and twice served as Chief of Neurosurgery there. He is also on staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano, Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall and Texas Institute for Surgery.He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurosurgeons, Texas Medical Association, American Medical Association, Texas Pain Society and the North American Neuromodulation Society.
