Dr. Jackson graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oklahoma, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1973. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1976 and was recognized as a junior Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society recipient. His neurosurgery residency program, including the Chief Resident position, was completed at the University of Florida in 1981. Dr. Jackson has been in neurosurgical practice in Dallas since 1982. Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons since 1984, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. With clinical appointments on active staff at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and courtesy staff at Baylor Regional Medical Center of Plano, Dr. Jackson is the past President of the Medical Staff at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. He is a two-term past Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and is a past department chair at St. Paul Hospital. President of the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons in 1996, Dr. Jackson has also served on the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas executive committee medical board and Board of Trustees. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurosurgeons, Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons and Texas Medical Association.
