Richard E. Helmer III, M.D., FACP, is board certified in internal medicine and hematology and has been in practice for nineteen years. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston where he also completed his medicine internship, residency, and hamatology-oncology fellowship.
Dr. Helmer is member of several professional organizations including the Christian Medical and Dental Society and the European Society for Medical Oncology. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Helmer has contributed to medicine through years of teaching, publications, and societal memberships. He married and shares three children with his wife, Angela.
