Brief Intro

Michael Kraut, MD is the Medical Director of the Providence Cancer Institute and the Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program at Providence. Dr. Kraut is a member of: the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Southwest Oncology Group, and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Kraut has special clinical, research and teaching interests in the field of Thoracic Oncology including Lung Cancer, Esophageal Cancer, Thymoma, and Mesothelioma. Dr. Kraut facilitates a bi-weekly Multidisciplinary Lung Conference where all newly diagnosed lung cancer cases are discussed resulting in a treatment plan for the patient. Dr. Kraut has had several publications and conducted significant research. Dr. Kraut is extremely knowledgeable, very compassionate, and exceptionally patient-centered. As Medical Director, Dr. Kraut actively participates in numerous clinically focused administrative duties such as overseeing quality improvement activities, publishing oncology reports, and participating in Oncology Research.
