Dr. Friedman graduated from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with an honors research distinction in 2001. She has extensive experience in treating all forms of pediatric cataracts with intraocular lens implantation. Although relatively rare, pediatric cataracts must be treated in order to prevent vision loss. She also has a special interest in treating complicated pediatric and adult strabismus and has conducted research involving the prevalence of retinopathy in juvenile Type 2 diabetics.
