Dr. Luis D. Neve is a comprehensive otolaryngologist in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. He grew up in McAllen, Texas and completed an undergraduate and graduate degree at Texas State University. Dr. Neve received his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center - El Paso and completed a five-year residency in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.
Dr. Neve received several recognitions during his residency including being nominated for the UTMB resident of the year during both his intern and chief years of residency, appointment of Resident Representative for the Department of Otolaryngology during his chief year of residency, winning the Byron Baily Surgical Society Resident Research Award, and the Paul C. Brindley Teaching Award. He was recognized as Sapere Aude of his graduating residency class, a designation given to the resident that best represents that Latin phrase meaning “dare to be wise.” Dr. Neve has extensive surgical and clinical training to treat various ailments of the head and neck from both open and minimally invasive approaches.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Neve enjoys playing tennis, cooking, and spending time with his family. He is a collector of musical instruments but, so far, has mastered none.
