Brief Intro

Kenneth Lightheart, MD joined our team in 2004 after working at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California for four years, two years as the Chief of Cardiology Services. Dr. Lightheart’s patient-centered approach to cardiology is reflected in the time he takes to educate patients about their health, listen to their concerns and answer their questions. Dr. Lightheart earned his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University and his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University. Following a residency at David Grant Medical Center on Travis Air Force Base in California, he completed a cardiology fellowship at Wilford Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and nuclear cardiology and is certified in the interpretation of cardiac CT. Dr. Lightheart’s areas of expertise include nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Outside of the office, Dr. Lightheart spends most of his time keeping up with his six children. Something most people don’t know about Dr. Lightheart is that he speaks Korean.
