Dr. Dancea earned his medical degree and a doctorate in physiotherapy from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Romania. He completed internships at Bucharest Emergency University Hospital and residencies in orthopaedic surgery at Foisor Hospital (Romania) and Colmar Hospital (France). Later, he pursued additional residencies in general surgery in the U.S. and completed a hand surgery fellowship in Kentucky. Dr. Dancea is certified by the American Board of Surgery and works at Carilion Clinic's Institute for Orthopaedics and Neurosciences. He also serves as an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. He uses a collaborative approach to patient care.
