Both patients and peers recognize Dr. Phillips" exceptional standards for patient care. She has been consistently honored for being one of the top oncologists in the area during the annual "Top Doc" awards. In addition to practicing the highest standards of traditional medicine, Dr. Phillips is also interested in Complementary Medicine and is conversant with many of its practices " she encourages her patients to discuss these with her if they so choose. Dr. Phillips treats all cancers and Hematologic diseases, but has a special focus on breast cancer. Her commitment extends to the greater community as she is the physician advisor to Reach for Recovery and has spoken at Gilda"s Club. Dr. Phillips graduated from Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, and attended medical school at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and the University of Washington. She interned at Harlem Hospital, New York and completed her Residency in Internal Medicine there as well. She also completed a Residency in Hematology at Montefiore Hospital, New York. For her Fellowships in Hematology and Medical Oncology, she chose Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York. Dr. Phillips is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Oncology.
