Dr. Daniel Nader leads the interventional pulmonology program (Lung Center) at Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Southwestern Regional Medical Center. Thanks to his vision and determination, CTCA is able to offer patients the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Dr. Nader, who has been with CTCA since 1991, has performed more than 6500 bronchoscopy procedures and provided more than 1700 high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatments. Dr. Nader has been recognized by Castle Connelly, U.S. News & World Report and Oklahoma magazine as a top doctor in pulmonary medicine. Dr. Nader earned an osteopathic medical degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed an internal medicine residency and a pulmonary medicine fellowship at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, California. He is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary disease. Previously, Dr. Nader was Medical Director of a pulmonary function lab and respiratory therapy department. Today he serves as Director of the Lung Center and Chief of Staff at CTCA at Southwestern Regional Medical Center. In December 2006, Dr. Nader was also appointed to the position of National Clinical Director of Pulmonary/Critical Care to assist CTCA in bridging clinical care across its regional centers. Dr. Nader has served as the Oklahoma Governor of the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP). He was one of about 55 ACCP Governors throughout the United States and Canada. The role allowed him to act as a patient advocate, making contact with local government officials to help lobby for Oklahoma issues and concerns. He also served as an important link between the cardiopulmonary community in Oklahoma and the national body. Dr. Nader says he is grateful to CTCA for the opportunity to use a broad range of advanced technologies to make a real difference in the lives of patients.
