Clay Harper, M.D. practices at Surgical Clinic, PC. Dr. Harper attended Auburn University for his pre-medical education. He received his medical degree from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed his residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham.Dr. Harper’s medical interests include general and vascular surgery as well as medical economics. He grew up around medicine with a father who is a pediatrician. In college he worked in the operating room at EAMC and realized that he wanted surgery to be his career.Outside of patient care, Dr. Harper enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children. He particularly enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family outdoors. Dr. Harper and his family are also active in their church.
