Arthur J. Taylor, M.D. joined Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center in 1996. Dr. Taylor focuses on the treatment of Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Disorders. He has specialty training in Microvascular Surgery and is actively involved in problems requiring replantation or transplantation of tissue.
Arthur J. Taylor, M.D. was born in Manhasset, New York. He received a Bachelor of Science in 1983 from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. Dr. Taylor attended the Chicago Medical School, University of Health Sciences where he received a Doctor of Medicine in June of 1988. He completed his Orthopedic Surgical Residency at the SUNY-Stonybrook University Hospital in 1993 and subsequently completed a Hand Fellowship at SUNY-Stonybrook University Hospital in 1994.
Dr. Taylor practiced for two years as head of the Hand Surgery Section at Carle Foundation Hand Center in Urbana, Illinois and he also was a faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Nevada School of Medicine within the Department of Hand/Replantation at UMC Hospital.
He most recently participated as a clinical investigator for the expansion of drug label use of Xiaflex treatment for Dupuytren's disease.
