I am a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. I obtained my Master's Degree at Miami Regional University and, posteriorly, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from South University in Savannah, Georgia. After many years of working in different health fields and with people of all ages, I have experience as an FNP in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Retail Health Clinic, Hospice, and Palliative services. As a family nurse practitioner, I have been trained to treat the whole family, from infancy to older people. That means I can assess, diagnose, and treat most conditions at the clinic. I also know that patients with complex conditions sometimes need to see a specialist." I have a tremendous vocation to teach. For this reason, while pursuing my clinical career, I have dedicated much time to teaching. I have taught classes at different colleges and universities. I am an adjunct professor for the FNP Program at Grand Canyon University. "Nothing fills me with more pride than teaching what I have learned over the years. Seeing how my students progress and achieve their goals is very comforting." I currently work as a primary care provider in a medical center, treating, managing, and controlling chronic medical conditions. I am fascinated by the science of medicine and nursing. I believe in developing caring relationships with my patients and their families. I seek a greater understanding of human health and the cause of disease. My philosophy on care is patient-centered, using a team approach and the best evidence-based practice. I practice scientifically, focused on realistic and measurable outcomes. Continuous patient education and consistency in their care are the most important to achieving the desired objectives. I love studying and learning, so there is not a single day in which I do not know something new and valuable. I love being at home with my family and my dogs. I go to the gym frequently to maintain a healthy and pleasant life. I love traveling and getting to know new countries and their cultures. I am a happy person with an excellent sense of humor. I love music and dancing salsa.
