Nga Ly is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with over 8 years of experience in psychiatry. She has extensive experience and training in differential diagnoses, receptor psychopharmacology, medication management, crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and psychotherapy.Nga has provided high quality, patient-centered, mental healthcare to thousands of patients in a variety of settings. Previously, she worked at the Sonoma County detention facility (Santa Rosa jail), San Francisco VA Medical Center (Psychiatric Emergency Services), and the outpatient Felton Institute program. Nga also worked as a Medical Science Liaison where she developed an expert ability to analyze scientific data and frequently presented to key thought leaders in the field of psychiatry. She also served as a volunteer Adjunct Clinical Professor for UCSF PMHNP students as well as helped develop curriculum for the SFVA PMHNP residency program. First and foremost, Nga believes the path to healing is fostered by developing a strong therapeutic relationship with each of her patients. She has a passion for working with the treatment-resistant community and believes it is an honor to provide ketamine – an innovative, safe, medication that has helped many of her patients suffering from depression.
