Kimberly Bean, a broadly experienced board-certified family nurse practitioner, came to Beaufort Memorial Bluffton Primary Care in spring 2021. At the practice she works to prevent, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illness.
Mrs. Bean includes among her professional interests primary care's full range of practice, especially the treatment of COPD and diabetes and the promotion of good health. She partners with each of her patients to develop an individualized plan of care based on currently recognized best practices and national guidelines.
Earlier, the New Jersey native was employed at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, where she managed patient treatment in the facility's wound care center and on its inpatient orthopedic unit, and in the internal medicine department of Medical Group of the Carolinas, also in Spartanburg.
Since relocating to the Lowcountry in 2017, she has served as a nurse practitioner in a family medicine practice and hospice and long-term care agencies.
Bluffton residents, Mrs. Bean and her husband, Daniel, have a son and two daughters. In addition to supporting her children's sports activities, she enjoys spending time with her family at the beach, crabbing, fishing and hiking.
"It is my goal to form a personal connection with each and every patient so together we can develop a plan of care that suits the patient's lifestyle. I encourage my patients to stay active and make healthy choices to achieve the best quality of life."
