I have been a nurse since 1988 and a Nurse Practitioner since 1999. I not only have experience in advanced wound care and ostomy care but in family practice, orthopaedics, cardiology, neurology and surgery. I am still a certified operating room nurse and have done several mission trips to Kazakhstan and Bolivia. I volunteer for our local veterans' clubs, Salvation Army, humane society, and other local organizations. I have been married since 1987. My husband and I enjoy boating, scuba diving, and gardening. I make homemade soap as a hobby and love to crochet. We are dog lovers and are on our fifth German shepherd.I believe that all patients have a story to tell about their health and it is my job as a health care professional to elicit that story and to make that story have the best ending possible. I want my patients to be active team members in their health care. I hold my patients responsible for doing their part in improving their health and I expect them to hold me accountable that I do the very best I can for them. I look at my patients holistically, mind, body, spirit and family. Together our goal is to reach the best possible outcome for the patient.
