What makes you passionate about being a healthcare provider?
I feel it is a privilege and an honor to care for a patient and their family during some of their darkest (and some of their best) moments. Everyone has their own story. When we spend time listening to what drives each person, then we have a chance to help meet their individual needs.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
The role of a good PCP is to provide preventive care and teach healthy lifestyles, but also to identify and treat common physical and mental health conditions while working on building a strong rapport with each patient. This helps instill confidence and trust between us.
Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time?
My wife, son, and I enjoy spending time camping and on sunny beaches as much as possible.
