Dr. Dylan Grau is passionate about helping people remain active and pain-free where he specializes in biomechanics of the foot and ankle to find the best individualized solution for each unique patient.Dr. Grau first obtained his Master’s degree from Des Moines University in Human Anatomy, following this, Dr. Grau graduated from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated summa cum laude and a member of Phi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society. Following graduation from medical school he completed an extensive surgical residency at University Health (formerly Truman Medical Center) where he performed complex surgeries of both the foot and ankle. Following graduation he was in private practice where he worked closely with The University of Kansas Health System before his return back to University Health to assist with the podiatry residency program.Dr. Grau is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery. Dr. Grau is able to perform multiple surgeries of both the foot and ankle including flatfoot reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, ankle instability, Charcot reconstruction, bunion deformity, trauma of both the foot and ankle, as well as total ankle replacement to name a few. He has considerable experience with pediatrics as well as extensive experience in wound care and limb salvage treatments.While Dr. Grau is not working to advance the field of podiatric medicine he spends his time with his wife and kids where they enjoy spending most of their time outdoors whether it is cycling, camping, or kayaking.
