Dr. Filip became passionate about plastic surgery during medical school at the University of Arizona while researching regenerative and reconstructive biomaterials. He went on to train as a specialist in plastic surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center, graduating as Chief Resident. Later, his research into facial aging gained national attention in popular media. Dr. Filip has also presented collaborative research on integrating multiple advanced breast reconstruction techniques. Dr. Filip has been a scientist his entire life, participating as a finalist at the International Science and Engineering Fair twice in high school.
