Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I went into medicine because I really enjoy interacting with people and wanted to make an impact on people's lives in a very important way. I think improving one's well-being and overall health is one of the single most important ways you can accomplish this. I love the breadth of issues we take care of in family medicine and enjoy caring for patients of all ages. I also really enjoy my sports medicine practice and helping people to become more active and physically fit so they can make the most of their lives. What I want my patients to know about me:I feel that I am very easy to talk to and very honest with my patients about their health care. I am very much for being on time to see my patients so that I can maximize my time spent with them. I expect the same courtesy from my patients to allow me to spend the most time with every patient, as well. I really enjoy trying to improve my patients' overall health and well-being. My special interests are around sports medicine and primary care orthopedics. I enjoy helping people become more functional and active regardless of age or condition. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy spending most of my free time with my wife and two beautiful daughters. I enjoy staying active and have a general love for physical fitness. I have taken up competing in triathlons and half marathons over the last few years and really enjoy the feeling of accomplishing these goals. I also like to brew my own beer and have become quite creative with different recipes over the last few years.
