My father was a general surgeon and my inspiration for becoming a physician. I was born and raised in Florida, but decided to do my residency in Chicago so I could experience the cold weather and change of seasons. It was too cold, so I found my way to Southern California, where the sunny days suit my personality. My husband and I enjoy living in San Diego, where we can ride horses, hike, and garden all year round.
