Dr. Chen was raised in New York state and attended the State University of New York at Stonybrook School of Medicine after spending his undergraduate years at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. He went on to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New-Haven Hospital, and completed his clinical fellowships in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine as well as Sleep Medicine at Stanford University Medical Center. He has a particular interest in pediatric obstructive sleep apnea and narcolepsy, as well as all aspects of pulmonary medicine and critical care. Dr. Chen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. He joined Southlake Clinic in December,2005. Dr. Chen enjoys living in the Puget Sound area. His interests include music, tennis, and other outdoor activities.
