William R. Campbell, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 25 years of experience in clinical practice and patient care. Dr. Campbell operates under the philosophy of treating patients the way in which he would like his family treated. He performs many different surgical procedures with specialized interest in breast cancer procedures. Dr. Campbell performs many procedures which include: abdominal surgery, hernia surgery, cholecystectomy, colon surgery, appendectomy, breast surgery, vasectomy and office procedures. Many of these procedures are performed laparoscopically. Over the course of his career, Dr. Campbell has served in professional leadership positions such as: chief of surgery for a multispecialty group of more than 100 practitioners, president of the medical staff for the former Baptist Lutheran Medical Center and is on the voluntary staff of the Goppert Family Care Center Family Practice Residency program. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Campbell earned his medical degree from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
