Dr. William Lackey is committed to providing state of the art treatment options for all forms of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. He treats conditions involving sports injuries, trauma, fractures, hand conditions, foot and ankle problems, arthritis, spine conditions, overuse conditions, and work-related injuries.
His goal is to exhaust all conservative treatment options prior to recommending surgical intervention to his patients. As part of his commitment to natural and conservative treatment, he offers in house physical therapy at all of his facilities. His primary goal is a quick return to symptom-free normal function with minimal interruption of a patient’s normal daily or athletic routine.
Dr. Lackey specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques and joint preservation procedures. His areas of surgical expertise include sports-related shoulder and knee injuries, traumatic conditions, hand, foot and ankle injuries, hip conditions, and joint preservation and reconstruction procedures.
Dr. Lackey is a recipient of the John Lachman Award for Excellence in Orthopaedics. He is active in treating everything from the active or arthritic patient to the competitive athelete. Dr. Lackey is a member of the National Ski Patrol and is certified in Outdoor Emergency Medical Management. He currently has active medical priviledges at several Manhattan and Brooklyn Hospitals.
