Dr. William K. Montgomery is fellowship trained in joint arthroplasty. He limits his practice to performing only total hip, total knee, and partial knee replacements. He believes in treating the patient as a whole, not just as a joint replacement. His practice is based on a personal relationship with his patient. You will routinely see him at office visits and on rounds in the hospital.
Dr. Montgomery believes that treating arthritis is a planned process. Plan A involves the patient exploring and optimizing medical management; for example: anti-inflammatories. Plan B transitions toward cortisone injections or viscoelastic supplementation such as Synvisc. Plan C involves surgical intervention ranging from arthroscopy to joint replacement.
Dr. Montgomery will spend time talking to you and discussing what plan meets your needs and expectations of managing your arthritis.
