I was born in South Africa where I went to medical school and I moved to the United States 22 years ago. I completed my pediatric residency in New York and then subspecialized in pediatric sastroenterology at the Children's Hospital Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital, also in Boston. I always had an interest in medicine and felt that treating children would be the most rewarding thing I could do. I am married with three daughters. Besides taking care of my family and patients, I try and keep active by either running or swimming every day before work.
