Dr. Lowry is a native of North Carolina. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received both his undergraduate and medical education at UNC, Chapel Hill. He completed his residency training in urology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Lowry began his private practice in 1983 in Bedford. During his years in practice, he has served as the Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery, as well as other elected and appointed positions at Harris Methodist HEB Hospital. He is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Urology.
