Dr. Balint joined National Spine & Pain Centers in 1989 after serving as Chief Resident of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Francis and Mercy Hospitals in Pittsburgh. For the first six years of his tenure with the practice, he served concurrently as the Medical Director at the National Hospital for Orthopedics and Rehabilitation in Arlington, Virginia.A seasoned interventional pain specialist, Dr. Balint has a well-established reputation for excellence and is recognized locally as a preeminent authority in his field. He has been selected repeatedly by his peers and patients as one of the region’s “Top Doctors” in annual physician surveys compiled by Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine.Committed to improving quality of life for his patients, Dr. Balint dedicates considerable time to researching and mastering the newest techniques and breakthrough therapies. He is skilled in a broad range of non-surgical pain management techniques, including fluoroscopic-guided injections, radiofrequency neurotomy, Prolotherapy and a host of other advanced procedures.
