Dr. Ettinger joined the Faculty as Chief, division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Director of Diabetes and Womens Health Programs at Kern Medical Center in 1998. Dr. Ettinger is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Ettinger received a Medical Doctor Degree from New York Medical College. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital and his Internal Medicine Residency training at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Ettinger served as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1970. He also completed a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Harbor Hospital Campus, UCLA Medical Center.
