Brief Intro

Dr. Ty Endean is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports-related injuries. He is a firm believer in empowering patients in their own health and treating them like they are part of his family. “I like to give personal care where patients feel comfortable,” he said. “When I am with patients I want them to know that in that moment their health care concerns are the most important thing to me.” Dr. Endean’s goal as an orthopedic surgeon is to get people “back in the game.” “The game of life, the game of sport, the game of work, the game of being a parent,” he said. “I want to help people get the most out of life.” Dr. Endean chose health care as his career path because he likes helping people achieve their goals and not let injury become an obstacle to success. “I also like to help people find the inner drive they didn’t know they had so they can achieve what they may have thought to be unattainable,” he said. An athlete himself, Dr. Endean chose orthopedics and sports medicine because he likes to be around people who are motivated to get the most out of their bodies. He also enjoys science and using his hands to help others. Originally from Northern California, Dr. Endean went to California State University Sacramento on a full-ride football scholarship to earn his bachelor’s degree. He attended Western University for medical school then moved to Columbus, Ohio, for an internship followed by York, Pennsylvania, for residency. After that, he moved to Palo Alto, California, for his sports medicine fellowship with the Oakland Raiders (now Las Vegas Raiders), San Jose Sharks, and rugby for the USA National Team. Dr. Endean moved to Tucson for work and stayed because of the accepting community. When he is not working, he enjoys lifting weights, watching his son play football and spending time outdoors with his wife.
