I believe that patient care is based upon an honest relationship, focused on communication, respect and empathy. The depth of training I received was second to none and allowed for optimal care across all tumor types, as I participated in clinical research trials while in fellowship focusing on breast and gastrointestinal malignancies. My own personal life has been touched by cancer, and these experiences have provided a perspective, which has been invaluable to providing support, to not only the patient, but also their family and friends. I understand the diagnosis of cancer can be one of lifes greatest challenges, even though advances are made each and every day which allow us to personalize treatments to patients with a focus on the cure, maintenance of quality of life and increasing duration of life. It is exciting to return to my home community, and I am looking forward to providing a multi-specialty approach to treating cancer.
