Thomas M. Mauri, MD joined the North Shore-LIJ Health System in 1986 and is the Director of Orthopedic Division of the Spine Center of the Harvey Cushing Institutes of Neuroscience. He is also Chief of the Division of Spine Surgery and Vice Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
Dr. Mauri earned his MD from Albany Medical College of Union University and completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. He also completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Spinal Surgery at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center and is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. | Dr. Mauri is a former Trustee of the North Shore-LIJ Health System, a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and a member of the North American Spine Society, where he serves as Co-Chairman of the Patient Safety Committee, the American Medical Association, New York State Medical Society and Nassau County Medical Society.
