Terry G. Whatley, DMD
Dr. Terry Gene Whatley received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After a tour of service as an officer in the United States Navy, Dr. Whatley attended the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Upon completion of his residency, he established a private practice in Huntsville, Alabama where he practiced for several years before relocating to Montana.
Dr. Whatley, a native of Alabama, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Whatley is also active in a number of national, regional, and local professional organizations. As an active staff member at Huntsville Hospital he served on several committees and also served as Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. While in practice in Alabama, Dr. Whatley was a faculty member at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham.Â
Dr. Whatley's wife, Margery, is a concert pianist and has an extensive background in music education. He is the father of four children, and his hobbies include gardening, fishing, cooking, and playing the piano. Dr. Whatley has been active in the local arts, serving on the boards of various arts organizations.
