Dr. Shorr was born and raised in New York City. He received his B.A. degree from Brooklyn College and his M.D. degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He trained at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland and at Seattle Children's. Dr. Shorr is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington. He is particularly interested in allergy and asthma, as well as infant and child development. He has been a consultant for Head Start and ECEAP since 1979. Dr. Shorr's spare time is spent with his family and two Cocker Spaniels. He collects watches and ties with cartoon characters and other themes. He has well over a hundred of each and had a display of matching watches and ties at the Puyallup Fair Hobby Hall in 1998 and 2004.
