Dr. Stuart Dessner, MD

Stuart Dessner, D.M.D.  Oral Surgery Dr. Stuart Dessner graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry and completed his Oral Surgery Residency at The Jewish Hospital and Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Dessner’s training is extensive and he has the distinction of being a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  These are awarded by examination to only the most qualified surgeons.  He has also taught oral surgery at the University of Illinois. Dr. Dessner has an extensive background in dental implants and has trained on all the most widely used dental implants.  He frequently conducts implant seminars. He is a member of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Chicago Society of Oral and Maxillofacial, the American Dental Association and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Dessner has taken up guitar and also spends free time doing medical missions in third world countries. Anthony Johnston, D.D.S.           General Dentistry Dr. Anthony Johnston graduated from Northwestern Dental School in 1990.  He graduated as an Omicron Kappa Epsilon Honor Society member with several awards in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics. He joined Rockford Dental Care soon after graduation. He and his wife have three wonderful children.  Most of his spare time is spent trying to keep up with them and their activities. With three children, he is an unofficial expert in anything Disney or Disney World.  He is a master scuba diver, runs marathons and loves to cycle and swim. Hipolito Lopez, D.D.S.                    General Dentistry Dr. Lopez received a BA in economics from Northwestern University in 1989 with an emphasis in pre-dental studies.  He worked for four years in the insurance industry before deciding that healthcare was his calling.  He received his DDS in 1999 from the University of Illinois-Chicago College of Dentistry.  He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Winnebago County Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. He is an advocate of continued dental education and attends many seminars and conferences to stay current with the dynamic changes in the dental profession. Dr. Lopez is very committed to his family and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. He actively serves the community doing volunteer work, coaching youth sports, and serving as a lector at his church.  He is a big sports fan, and loves reading, fishing, boating, wakeboarding, snow skiing, exercising and being with good friends and family.  He truly enjoys working with the doctors and staff at RDC and the comfort and well-being of our patients is his top priority.   “A dentist is part artist, part architect, part physicist, part surgeon, part therapist and of course a friend!” Matt Mlsna, D.D.S.                        General Dentistry Dr. Matt Mlsna graduated from Loyola Dental School in 1985 where he received his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.  He has been in practice at Rockford Dental Care, P.C. for 22 years. Dr. Mlsna is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Winnebago County Dental Society. Dr. Mlsna is married and enjoys spending time with his family and is an outdoor enthusiast. Loan Nguyen, D.M.D.                   General Dentistry Dr. Loan Nguyen graduated from the University of Illinois and attended Southern Illinois University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1999. She is a member of the Winnebago County Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association.  While she and her husband spend most of their spare time doing activities with their children she loves to read and play tennis.
