Steven W. Orlow, MD, who was the second fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist in Fort Wayne, joined Lutheran Medical Group in July 1990. Born on the West coast but raised in the Midwest, Dr. Orlow graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., where he was a Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Orlow earned a medical degree and completed an internal medicine internship and residency, a fellowship in general cardiology and a one-year fellowship in interventional cardiology at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago. He was named associate chief resident his final year of residency. Dr. Orlow serves as medical director of Lutheran Hospital's catheterization laboratory, and he is credentialed in a variety of procedures, including coronary angiography; balloon angioplasty and stenting; carotid angiography and stenting; peripheral and balloon angioplasty; atherectomy stenting; renal artery stenting; abdominal and thoracic aortic aneurysm endograph treatment; and cardiac computed tomography. Dr. Orlow, who is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. In addition, he is a founding member of the American Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.
