Brief Intro

Dr. Robbins provides the full array of orthopaedic services and is a recognized expert in complex reconstructive surgery, including knee and hip joint replacement and revision joint replacement. He also excels in performing complex arthroscopic surgery, a minimally invasive procedure that helps improve joint function and range of motion. He shares his knowledge of this specialty as an Associate Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, where orthopaedic surgeons from around the world learn this technique. Dr. Robbins is one of only approximately 150 orthopaedic surgeons nationwide who subspecializes in orthopaedic oncology, which involves the treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors. He trained in this area at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Board certified, Dr. Robbins belongs to numerous professional associations and serves on the editorial boards for Orthopaedic Oncology’s Orthopaedic Special Edition and McMahon Medical News. He also makes presentations, conducts research, and publishes in the medical literature. In 2000, his contributions to the advancement of orthopaedic surgery were recognized when he was named in the National Registry of Who’s Who in Orthopaedic Surgery and selected by his peers as one of America’s Top Physicians. Dr. Robbins completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center and Saint Barnabas Medical Center. He followed this with two fellowships: one in orthopaedic oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and the second in metabolic bone diseases at The Hospital for Special Surgery/Cornell University Medical College/The New York Hospital. Today, he is affiliated with Saint Barnabas Medical Center and a consultant to Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
