Steven Muehlstedt, MD is a native of St. Cloud who completed a Pediatric Surgical Fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and joined Pediatric Surgical Associates in 2004. He practices at Minneapolis Children's and St. Paul Children's Hospitals. He is also the Director of Pediatric Trauma at Hennepin County Medical Center. Steve specializes in minimally invasive surgery for newborn and pediatric patients. He also performs the Nuss procedure for the treatment of pectus excavatum. Additional interests include surgical correction of congenital defects, oncologic surgery, ECMO, student education, and participation in medical missions throughout the world. Steve is married with one young daughter.
