Dr. Meress has been board certified in Internal Medicine and Holistic Medicine with experience in Emergency Medicine, Primary Care, Wellness and Longevity techniques. Dr. Meress completed his Bachelors of Science from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Medical Microbiology and received his medical degree from St. George University in Grenada, West Indies in 1986. Dr. Meress completed his last two years of medical school primarily in New York City and his residency at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield Clinic in 1989. Since completion of his residency, he has been a staff physician and Chief of Emergency Medicine until founding and starting Fox Valley Wellness Center in 1999 with his wife Julie. Dr. Meress received Board-Certification in Holistic Medicine in 2006. He is also considered one of the foremost “Lyme-literate” physicians in the country, treating well over 1200 patients with Lyme Disease and is a member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS). His areas of focus include Hyperbaric Medicine, Women’s Health, Thermography, Intravenous & Integrative Therapies for Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease & Heavy Metal Toxicity, Diagnostic & Alternative Therapies, Weight Management Programs and Thyroid Disease. Dr. Meress is one of the top thyroid doctors and received the 2009 America’s Top Physicians’ award by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
