Dr. Olyejar is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology and joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in 2006. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in analytical chemistry from the University of Northern Colorado, and then received his M.D. with honors, from the University of Colorado. Dr. Olyejar completed specialty training in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he served as chief resident for 2 years. Dr. Olyejar specializes in the treatment of female malignancies (Breast Cancer and Gyn Cancers). He is experienced and has special training and interest in brachytherapy for all sites including breast (Conturaâ„¢, SAVI, MammoSiteâ„¢ and Multi-catheter techniques), prostate (Seeds and HDR), head and neck, gynecologic, esophagus, skin and lung. In fact, Dr. Olyejar heads one of the leading and busiest brachytherapy practices in country. Olyejar was recently featured on national television for his unique breast brachytherapy technique. Dr Olyejar has numerous publications to his credit and serves as an associate professor at Midwestern University. Dr. Olyejar has been recognized multiple years by Phoenix Magazine as â€œTop Docâ€. Dr. Olyejar is originally from Colorado, but has made the East Valley his home.
