Stephen J. Martino, M.D. is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). He is the Regional Stroke Director for Hackensack Meridian Health's Southern Region.
As a neurologist, Dr. Martino treats all types of neurological disorders, primarily specializing in hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, as well as transient ischemic attacks (TIAs or mini-strokes). Using neurointerventional procedures and blood-clot busting therapies, such as tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) and mechanical thrombectomy, he delivers emergency care to his patients so that they may have shorter recovery times and better health outcomes.
Dr. Stephen Martino graduated medical school from The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He went on to the University of Maryland Hospital to complete his Neurology Residency and received further fellowship and advanced training in Neurophysiology and Stroke Neurology.
Dr. Martino is currently engaged in different clinical research projects. He is also a speaker at both national and local conferences on the topics of stroke and concussion.
