Stephen D. Newman, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.A.H.A., graduated from Austin College with a major in Biology and pursued his medical education at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Doctor Newman is a board certified Diplomate in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology and Forensic Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Regional Counselor for the Texas Chapter of the American College of Cardiology from 2004 through 2007. He is a Fellow and member of the American Heart Associationâ€™s Council on Clinical Cardiology. He is a member of the Committee on Government Relations and Community-Based Practice for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He is an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Texas School of Nursing in Arlington Texas.
