Stephanie Croy, DO, wanted to become a physician to serve her community. The way children respond to illness inspired her to pursue pediatrics—even at their sickest, they still want to play and smile. She enjoys her career because it allows her to build relationships with the families she serves and see her patients grow and develop. She has special interests in asthma and allergies. The best part of my job is getting to know the families that I serve, from newborns to teenagers, through both the bad times and good. It’s rewarding to help parents and their children with health questions and problems, and also being able to walk into a room and ask about the latest dance recital or baseball game. I believe in building trust with families, knowing that we all have their children’s best interests at heart.
