Dr. Stanbury began his medical education at the University of Oklahoma where he served as class president, was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and graduated with distinction. He then completed his Internship and Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Stanbury completed fellowship training at the Harvard Medical School Combined Hand Surgery Fellowship. This fellowship included extensive training at Boston Children’s Hospital learning the care of complex pediatric upper extremity conditions.
Dr. Stanbury specializes in the evaluation and management of a broad spectrum of both adult and pediatric upper extremity injuries and disorders. He chose this specialization because of his love for complex anatomy and delicate surgery. Dr. Stanbury feels that the hands are how we interact with the world, and he finds it extremely rewarding to help patients maximize their ability to do so.
Aside from his love of medicine, Dr. Stanbury particularly enjoys spending time with his wife Megan, a nurse anesthetist. He stays active through his enjoyment of golf, basketball, traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and participating in local and foreign outreach endeavors.
