Originally from Iran, Dr. Mirfendereski earned his Medical Degree at Guilan University of Medical Sciences before coming to New York to complete his medical education. His background includes a year of residency in anesthesiology, as well as teaching internal medicine residents at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, experience that helps him communicate well with patientsâ€™ primary care physicians ensuring continuity of care. In his practice, Dr. Mirfendereski works to engage his patients as active members of their care team. He believes that continuous patient education not only improves outcomes, but also helps alleviate fear and reduce the anxiety that results from living with a chronic disease.
