Brief Intro

Dr. Fromherz, an Oregon native, attended the University of Oregon where he received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology. He received his medical training at Georgetown Medical School, and completed his Neurology Residency at Stanford University Hospital. After discovering a penchant for sleep medicine, Dr. Fromherz went on to complete a 2-year clinical and research sleep medicine fellowship at Stanford University Sleep Disorders Center. There, he trained under such sleep pioneers as Dr. William C. Dement, Dr. Emmanuel Mignot and Dr. Christian Guilleminault, who are widely considered to be among the world's foremost contributors to the field of Sleep Medicine. He has coauthored chapters on Narcolepsy in multiple Sleep Medicine and Neurology texts. He serves as a sleep medicine consultant to a major Wall Street firm, has acted in the capacity of expert witness, is a speaker for multiple national pharmaceutical companies, and has been featured on television and in magazine articles as a Sleep Medicine expert. He also serves as the Medical Advisor to the Portland Area Restless Legs Education and Support Group. After completing his Sleep Medicine fellowship in 2005, Dr. Fromherz returned to Oregon where he has since been practicing Sleep Medicine in private practice. In June 2007, Dr. Fromherz founded Westside Sleep Center, where along with his talented medical equipment specialist and sleep technologists, he proudly provides the highest level of sleep care available.
