Sarah Braun, M.D. is a psychotherapist, psychiatrist and Jungian psychoanalyst. She is in a solo private practice in the Philadelphia area, engaging in psychotherapy with adults, children, adolescents and college students. She is on the faculty of the C.G. Jung Institute of Philadelphia and serves as Vice-President and Director of Public Programs of the Philadelphia Association of Jungian Analysts (PAJA). A founding member of the Jungian Psychoanalytic Association (JPA) in New York, Dr. Braun also is a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology.
After studying studio art and neurobiology at Harvard, Dr. Braun pursued medical training at the University of California, San Francisco. She continued there for her residency in General Psychiatry, and went on to a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Philadelphia. She is Board Certified in both specialities.
Dr. Braun trained in Jungian psychoanalysis at the C.G. Jung Institute of New York. She has taught and lectured on a variety of topics in the Northeast, in public programs as well as Jungian seminars, psychoanalytic and psychiatric training programs.
She practices in Narberth, Pennsylvania, a Main Line suburb less than fifteen minutes from the center of Philadelphia by car or commuter train.
